CCAMPIS
Child Care Access Means Parents In School Program
The CCAMPIS Program is a Federally funded grant designed to support the participation of low-income parents in postsecondary education through the provision of campus-based child care services. Baby Gator is using the grant funding to not only designate additional student-family spaces but also to substantially subsidize the tuition of CCAMPIS eligible families and provide individually tailored resources.
Who is eligible to participate?
In order to be eligible for a CCAMPIS space at Baby Gator, families must meet the following criteria:
- At least one parent is a UF student enrolled in courses
- Pell Eligible (determined by Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA application) *note that you do not have to be a Pell Grant recipient, you just have to be eligible to receive it.
What is required to remain in the program?
In order to be eligible for a CCAMPIS space at Baby Gator, families must meet the following criteria:
- Provide a graduation plan (for completion of the degree the student-parent is obtaining) upon enrolling in the CCAMPIS program.
- Complete a semesterly CCAMPIS Support Survey.
- Attend a semesterly Connection Check-In meeting with the center’s Assistant Director to help ensure that all academic and family needs are being met.
- Participate in at least one family involvement initiative at the center each semester.
- Provide a copy of the class schedule for the coming semester to ensure eligibility of student status.
- Will be required to recertify annually.
