Future Gators ( 4 to 5 years old )

The Future Gators classrooms serve children ages 4 to 5 who are preparing to enter kindergarten.

Teachers assist children with kindergarten readiness skills which include early literacy and language, basic math concepts, social interaction, problem solving, self-help skills, and decision making. Teachers employ developmentally appropriate practices, teaching children through experience, exploration, and investigation.

The Future Gator classrooms also offer a voluntary pre-kindergarten program (VPK) that is embedded within the morning activities and routine. Children who are 4 years-old on or before September 1st are eligible to participate in VPK. VPK is a free program and there are no registration or supply fees for VPK. A fee is charged for participation in wrap-around services.
