Baby Gator recently found out they are being awarded one of HeartSafe City Foundation’s Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) grants. The Gator CPR foundation was created to offer free CPR training, increase the amount of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) in public places, and decrease bystander response time. The grant program extends over 9 counties in North Central Florida and provides an AED and subsequent CPR training to awarded organizations. The AED grant will be awarded to the Baby Gator at Lake Alice center on Saturday, February 10th at the Gator Saver Event being held at the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.   HeartSafe City will be donating a Phillips HeartStart Onsite AED (or equivalent) and provide training for the three center administrators who have daily access to the AED.  All of the full-time Baby Gator staff are certified in First Aid, CPR and AED use. We thank the HeartSafe City Foundation for this generous donation.
